Job Location : Richmond,VA, USA
Provides comprehensive, structured, case management services for emergency shelter residents. Learns and adapts to the uniqueness of a resident's history to determine the most effective relationship approach. Develops comprehensive program plan/goals and evaluates residents' progress through one-on-one sessions and diagnostic tools. Advocates for community resources and services that will enable residents to resolve or ameliorate the underlying causes of their homelessness.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work on multiple cases effectively and efficiently without becoming frustrated or disorganized. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
