The RAMS CAAP Counseling & Pre-Vocational Services (RAMS-CCS) provides culturally competent outpatient integrated behavioral health support and pre-vocational services to participants of the San Francisco Department of Human Services' (DHS) Personal Assisted Employment Services (PAES) program, the county's welfare-to-work program for adults without dependent children. RAMS offers three different services under this contract: Job Prep, a series of work readiness workshops, psychological testing through a Learning Needs Assessments (LNA,) and a vocational training and rehabilitation program called On the Job Assessment (OJA).The RAMS CAAP Pre-Vocational Services is a collaboration with the Workforce Development Division (WDD) to offer supportive services for clients enrolled in the County Adult Assistance Program (CAAP) and CalFresh benefits.As a member of the RAMS CAAP Pre-Vocational Services team (WDD), the case manager works with the coordinator, clinician, learning needs assessor and the vocational rehabilitation counselor to support RAMS CAAP Counseling Services (CCS) and Human Services Agency CAAP (HSA-CAAP) clients in assessing their readiness, ability, and accommodation needs from welfare to work, and support their success in their next steps towards self-sufficiency.Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:Provide one-on-one sessions to assess client's basic needs, work readiness and barriers to employmentProvide case management services including community resources, vocational and educational training programs, employment resourcesSupport program by researching and updating community resources to meet clients' needsProvide support and assist clients at work assessment sitesFacilitate soft skills workshops for the CAAP clients on topics, i.e. work/life balance, job retention,Liaison and closely coordinate with clients, as well as other care providers, including other staff at RAMS-CCS, RAMS-WDD, HSA-CAAP, and other community providers in providing case management services, including preparing documentation & reports and assist in coordinating other health care services for clients (e.g. primary care, dentistry).Maintain timely administrative and program records and documentation related to client care, in accordance to standards specified by RAMS policies and oversight agencies, i.e. HSA.Participate in case conferences, program team and staff meetings, in-service trainings and other staff development activities.Perform other duties as assigned. Educational level, Experience, & Other Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other health & human services related fields from an accredited institution OR two years of experience providing similar types of services, required.At least one year of experience in working with the indigent & underserved populations (including those with mental health, substance abuse, and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders), highly preferred.Knowledge of San Francisco community resources/services (including health, mental health, substance abuse, housing, etc.), highly preferred.Familiarity with various counseling strategies and wellness recovery principles in working with clients with mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring substance abuse issues.Strong commitment to the philosophy, goals, & mission of RAMS in providing community-based, culturally competent, and consumer-guided mental health and vocational services to the community.Commitment to engaging in professional development activities such as trainings, continuing education seminars, case conferences, and reviewing up-to-date material, etc., as related to vocational training strategies for the population of CAAP.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively, function independently, and interact professionally with a diverse, multi-cultural, and interdisciplinary staff of all levels.Applicants with ability to provide bilingual & culturally competent services in Spanish, Cantonese, Russian, Tagalog or Vietnamese, HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY, due to the populations served.
