Job Description: The Business Office Clerk I provides data entry support across multiple departments, including but not limited to the Finance Department and Human Resources. This position is on-site and requires multitasking, attention to detail, discretion, and a high level of organization to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:Business Office Support:
  • Entry of Accounts Payable
  • Entry of Accounts Receivable
  • Recording deposits and credit card transactions
  • Track, record, and process expense reports.
  • Maintain vendor files and assist with reconciliations.
  • Data entry into software systems.
  • General office and clerical support.
Human Resources Support:
  • Assist with updating HR forms
  • Assist with maintaining employee files.
  • Assist with updating forms, as needed
  • Assist with maintaining Homeland Security I-9 log and binders
  • Assist with creating a procedure manual for HR
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment; occasional need to lift or move materials up to 25 lbs.
Standard business hours with occasional additional hours during peak cycles, based upon the needs of the operation. May be sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer. Requirements:
  • Discretion with confidential information.
  • GED or HS Diploma.
  • 1+ years of administrative experience preferred, preferably in a multi-department support role
  • Familiarity with Accounting and Payroll systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Must be able to work with campus and student populations, administration, and staff/faculty.
