About the Role TransLoop is seeking an engaged, self-motivated logistics brokerage carrier procurement representative that thrives in a start-up environment. As our company grows, this person will be integral to bridging carrier relations and best practices with the technology development team to create transportation solutions that make all aspects of logistics brokering more seamless. As a Carrier Procurement Specialist, you will research available carrier capacity. Working closely with Carrier Sales Representatives, this position is responsible for scheduling shipments, ensuring on time pick-up and delivery and maintaining relationships with existing carrier partners. This is a high-impact role for TransLoop. The success of this role will have a material impact on our business and the future growth of TransLoop. What You'll Do

  • Work closely with RFP team and Carrier Team to source and vet carrier capacity prior to bid submissions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with core carrier partners to secure competitive and reliable capacity
  • Lock in carriers on awarded contract lanes and ensure alignment on pricing, service expectations, and operational requirements
  • Conduct regular check-ins with contracted carriers to monitor performance, capacity availability, and service levels
  • Proactively identify potential service gaps or capacity risks and implement corrective action with carrier partners
  • Maintain carrier rate and capacity data via Parade to support pricing strategy and operational planning
  • Collaborate cross-functional with pricing, sales, and operations teams to support award implementation and long-term success or customer relationships
  • Analyze market trends and carrier performance data alongside the RFP team to make informed procurement decisions
  • Support initiatives to expand carrier network in underserved markets or key strategic regions
  • Ensure compliance with TransLoop's standards for carrier onboarding, safety, and performance metrics
  • Exemplify TransLoop's pillars in every interaction: Transparent. Reliable. Collaborative.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in carrier sales or logistics operations
  • Excellent communications skills, including comfort speaking on the phone, working within a group and strong writing abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A self-motivated work ethic
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a technology-driven and data-centric environment.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting with changing priorities.
