Job Summary
The Cargo Station Manager will lead, develop, and drive the overall strategic direction and business plan, orchestrating an ongoing planning process to produce a clear vision and mid- to long-term objectives. You will oversee all aspects of daily cargo operations at the station or local business unit to ensure efficiency and performance aligned with corporate goals.
The expected pay rate is $120K per year. Full-time employees are offered health and wellness benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
Your activities
- Oversee and evaluate cargo operations to ensure increased profitability, productivity, and market share.
- Prepare operating budgets and proposals for capital expenditures, analyzing and approving investments in infrastructure, technology, and equipment.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records and provide required financial reports.
- Ensure quality standards are met and continuously improved to maintain competitiveness.
- Lead, guide, evaluate, and develop operational teams to achieve business objectives and comply with regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including airline management, airport authorities, customs, and immigration.
- Manage Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities with the goal of reducing injuries and damages.
- Implement and monitor safety and security KPIs related to personnel, equipment, facilities, and aircraft, including revenue, HR metrics, and quality targets.
Your profile
- University degree or equivalent; advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of business management, financial principles, and operational performance drivers.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with P&L responsibility, preferably in aviation.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and leadership skills to motivate teams.
- Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and interest groups.
- Management style suited to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for service improvement.
- High personal and professional integrity.
