We are a family in Hartland Township, Michigan, seeking a dedicated elder care provider to deliver compassionate care for our parents. This full-time position offers a live-in arrangement, ensuring consistent support and companionship. It's a large home with a separate space in the lower level (living room, bedroom and bathroom).The role primarily involves responsibilities in personal care, help with cooking, shopping, light cleaning, and medications. Dad (91) is a one person heavy assist and weighs about 140 lbs., he has very limited mobility and uses a wheel chair, he has some incontinence issues (wears diapers), needs help with showers, grooming and dressing. Mom (87) has been diagnosed with dementia, but is still very functioning. We prefer a candidate with 10 years of experience in the caregiving, assisted living or nursing fields. Some experience with dementia would also be helpful. We offer a competitive pay rate of $35 per hour plus free room and board for the right candidate who displays the dedication and experience we seek.
