Our small family-owned Assisted Living Facility is seeking friendly and empathetic healthcare professionals with a passion for helping others in a direct-care role as a certified nursing assistant. As the primary caregiver, you will assist patients with varied levels of mobility with getting dressed, going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, and other activities of daily living.You'll also record patient vitals and note any changes in behavior, complaints, and symptoms to the nurse. - Record patient vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
- Convey relevant patient data and information to supervising nurse, family members, and other facility staff as needed
- Attend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressed
- Work with patients on regular exercise as needed to maintain their mobility level and physical health
Qualifications
- Exceptional communication skills in working with patients and families to maintain positive relationships
- Proficient computer skills and experience using computer database to ensure patient history is accurately recorded
- Experience as a caregiver, personal care aide, or similar role (preferred, but not required)
- Compassionate heart and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- Dependable, flexible, and committed to quality care
- CNA or PCA, or DCA certification required
