Job Description :

The focus of the Career Consultant position is to provide individualized support and strategies for candidates in transition to help them identify career options and achieve a successful outcome. This could include a successful transition to a new position, making a career shift, pursuing an entrepreneurial path, or active retirement.

In this role you can expect toKey Accountabilities
  • Assist candidates across a broad spectrum of career transition needs, including managing change, assessing skills and interests, defining career goals, identifying career options, guiding resume and LinkedIn profile development, interviewing, negotiating, and new job assimilation.
  • Support candidates in moving forward with change, building confidence, and developing a career marketing plan aligned with their experience and the job market.
  • Proactively engage, motivate, and guide candidates in utilizing LHH resources and technology tools.
  • Demonstrate expertise in current job-related technology including LinkedIn, AI, ChatGPT, ATS, and research databases.
  • Assist candidates in connecting to jobs using LHH tools and resources, including referrals to LHH Recruitment Solutions, LHH Talent Finder, and Job Sites, in compliance with governmental requirements.
  • Provide coaching to help individuals during interviews and salary negotiations, enabling them to navigate the job search confidently.
  • Manage time and priorities related to program deliverables, candidate reporting, customer projects, and participate in LHH training and events.
All About You
  • Preferred 8+ years of professional experience in Career Consulting or related fields such as HR, recruitment, career/leadership development, training, or management consulting.
  • Experience across diverse industries such as IT, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, marketing, or hospitality.
  • Strong expertise in the job market and assessing candidate skills and potential industry fit.
  • Knowledge of Talent Acquisition strategies, ATS, sourcing, interviews, and collaboration with recruiters.
  • Proficiency with technology tools including Zoom, Teams, online portals, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong service orientation, curiosity about different careers and industries, and empathy in coaching.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple roles with a combination of coaching, technology, and analytical skills.
