The Minneapolis VA Health Care System, a major teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Minnesota, has an immediate opening for a Non-Invasive Staff Cardiologist in the Cardiology section of the Primary Care Patient Service Line. The candidate must have experience in general cardiology and non-invasive imaging cardiac imaging, mainly echocardiography. Ample opportunities also exist for practicing advanced cardiac imaging if the candidate has expertise in areas of Cardiac CT and MR. An expertise or interest in Heart Failure will be highly desirable but not required. Care will be provided in multiple settings including In-Patient, Out-Patient, Tele-Cardiology and Outreach Cardiology visits. The ideal candidate will also need to participate in the teaching of students, residents, and fellows. Requirements include: * Board Certification in Cardiology.* Experience in providing General Cardiology & Cardiology Consultant care, preferably in an academic setting.* Show academic excellence, as demonstrated by some publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or active participation in conferences or educational programs.
