Shift Hours:

• Mon/Wed/Fri: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
• Tues/Thurs: 7:00 AM 3:30 PMMay stay later for cardiac or general case coverage

Job Responsibilities:

• 1 cardiac surgery per day (not daily)
• Assist with 57 general OR cases/day when no cardiac case is scheduled
• Perform and interpret TEE procedures (required for billing)
• May occasionally oversee CRNAs or work at ASC if no cardiac cases scheduled

Practice Details:

• ORs in Use: 8
• Anesthesiologists in Group: 6
• Patients: Adolescent to geriatric (very sick pediatric patients are referred out)
• EMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic), some paper documentation
• Annual Cardiac Volume: Projected 90 pump/open-heart cases in 2025
• Supervision Model: Primarily solo; CRNA students rotate through ORs

Requirements:

• License: Active Iowa license or IMLC (LOQ must be submitted at name clear) Required
• Board Certification:
• Cardiac Anesthesiology BC Preferred (will consider BE)
• Cardiac Fellowship Preferred (extensive experience + TEE certified acceptable)

TEE Certified: Required (must read, interpret, and bill)

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Required
