Capabilities Analyst Level 2 - BTS Software Solutions : Job Details

BTS Software Solutions is seeking a Capability Analyst to perform analysis to support mission requirements. This opportunity is for a future award expected in June 2025.

Job Description:

The Capability Analyst will investigate, analyze, and review sources, Collection Systems & Operations, Processing & Exploitation, Customer Operations & Requirements, Policy & Directives, and Organization Structure.

Primary Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with Poly

• Research and analyze information to define or refine mission requirements.
• Develop information that will identify gaps in capabilities solutions, strategic planning, and technical baseline.
• Produce technical reports.
• Populate databases with information obtained through research and analysis.
• Produce clear and concise briefing materials.
• Develop cross-access collection strategies based upon analyzed information.
• Recommend development solutions for system-level and operational requirements for upgrades to SIGINT systems, including remote operations through extensive research and analysis of all aspects of the SIGINT system and associated technologies.
• Knowledge of current agency tools and databases, technical reports, social network analysis, geospatial metadata analysis, target research, telephony, SIGINT collection systems, researching network topologies, architectures and protocols, network operations, network mapping, and network protocols.
• Provide technical and engineering information and support necessary to migrate systems through successive architecture revisions and upgrades.
• Provide technical support to collection managers by constructing site profiles.
• Develop system-level and operational requirements for upgrades to SIGINT systems, including remote operations.
• Apply assessment techniques and methodologies to multifaceted problems.
• Aggregate intelligence data from disparate sources and summarize the data to develop information for further analysis or action.

Education and Experience:

• Seven (7) years of professional experience in any of the following SIGINT areas: Collection, Collection Access, System Engineering, Computer Science, Software Reverse Engineering, Technical Analysis, Hardware or Software Engineering, Research Scientist, Intelligence Analyst, or Signals Analysis.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years' experience is required.

Pay Range: $65,000-$87,000The BTS pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
