Our roots trace back to 1896, when the Brethren in Christ Church founded Messiah Home in Harrisburg, PA, to serve older adults with Christ-like love.Position Summary:The Operations Intern supports the Campus Service department with projects, reports, logistics and lends practical assistance in daily operational tasks, acquire critical business methods and contribute to team projects. Projects would include project management work, policy and procedures, Campus Services work template project, blueprint identification/organization project and etc.The Operations Intern must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program in a related field and entering into their junior or senior year.What We're Looking For:Must be able to commit to interning for a college semester's length of time, may vary based on the college/university's requirements. (estimated 3 months)Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours a week with a minimum of 3 hours per day in-person. (Estimated but flexible based on college/degree requirements)Proficiency in Microsoft office.Enthusiastic, eager to learn, well organized, and able to work independently and within a team.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, personal integrity and the ability to present Messiah Lifeways in a positive, professional, and engaging manner.More About What You'll Be Doing:Report to and directly support the Campus Services department operations and staff.Assist with executing everyday operational tasks, department projects, documentation etc. using programs such as Word, Excel, and Publisher.Working closely with multiple groups of diverse interests (Purchasing, Logistics, Maintenance, Construction, Environmental services, Guest Services, Grounds and Transporation) while supporting and implementing current processes.Gain exposure to organizational operations from Purchasing, Logistics, Maintenance, Construction, Environmental Services, Guest Services, Grounds and Transporation staffParticipate in meetings with Messiah Lifeways Campus Services Departments they will perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks/duties associated with Campus Services operations.Why You Should Choose to Intern With Us:We work hard to create a One Team culture of care and collaboration and ensure that team members are best equipped to lead happy, healthy, and balanced lives.
