Call Specialist Internship - FirstLink : Job Details

FirstLink is looking for a part-time Call Specialist intern to help answer calls on our Helpline and Suicide Lifeline. The intern will be involved in providing emotional support and encouragement, appropriate referrals to community resources, and crisis intervention services to callers. This position will assist inmaking outgoing calls to participants in our Care and Support program. Participants in this program received weekly follow-up calls to assist in care coordination, safety planning, and referrals to community resources.We are looking for an individual who has the desire to help others and is empathic. This individual will have strong communication and customer service skills.Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and be receiving credit for the internship experience.Majoring in HDFS, Psychology, Social Work, or a human service-related fieldThe internship may be paid depending on the candidates available.
