Job Opportunity

McCO is seeking CVs for translators, linguists, and language instructors in all languages for upcoming contract opportunities with agencies such as the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, USAID, and U.S. Department of Agriculture. The responsibilities vary by position and may include:

  • Designing and delivering language training courses, from basic conversation skills to high proficiency and technical fluency.
  • Providing expertise in technical translation related to foreign policy, national security, international development, trade, and related fields.
  • Delivering high-quality written and verbal translation services.
  • Performing simultaneous and successive interpretation during conferences, seminars, and meetings, ensuring terminology and stylistic consistency.
  • Providing interpretation services at all levels for English-speaking staff in meetings with foreign counterparts.
  • Translating correspondence, reports, manuals, and conference materials.
  • Performing clerical duties as needed.
  • Proofreading, editing, and revising translated materials for accuracy.
    • Qualifications

    Candidates should demonstrate expertise in at least one of the following areas:

    • Successful translation of professional academic content to/from English.
    • Experience in consecutive interpretation to/from English.
    • Experience in simultaneous interpretation to/from English.
    • Recent experience providing interpretation services virtually, preferably using Zoom.
    • At least two years of professional simultaneous interpretation experience, with appropriate training or certification.
