CAFETERIA AIDE - Westchester Medical Center Health : Job Details

The Cafeteria Aide is responsible for the quality service of appetizing meals for hospital employees, visitors, volunteers, and clergy. The Cafeteria Aide is also responsible to maintain the sanitation standards of the work area. Responsibilities Prepares food items according to standardized recipe. Demonstrates ability to prepare and keep hot cold foods at the proper temperature to prevent bacterial contamination. Demonstrates proper handling of all foods prepared and served. Suggests and experiments with new recipes for salads and sandwiches. Demonstrates ability to follow established hand washing procedure and use of gloves whenever food is handles/served. Sets up and completes daily work assignments within established time frame. Assures that all items are properly stored away and work area is clean according to hospital standards before the end of the shift. As assigned, operates the cash register.
