**Description**

This position is a full time (0.6 - 0.8 Status), day shift Caf Cashier position in the Nutrition Department.

The Cafe Cashier is primarily responsible for working in the caf as a cashier, serving and stocking. Performs cleaning procedures on food service equipment and work areas. In addition, this position may involve preparing and assembling food items for patient and caf customers. May work in the dish room and deliver and retrieve patient food trays. Also may be responsible for passing meal trays directly to the patient in accordance with HACCP policies and procedures. This position may be responsible for simple food prep as assigned by department manager.

**Minimum Required:** Must have the ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly to customer concerns. Must be proficient in verbal and written English language.

**Preferred / Desired:** Prefer hospitality experience, particularly in healthcare. Prefer knowledge of proper food handling procedures and government regulations regarding the food code. Desire Serv Safe certification.

**On Call / Weekend Requirements:** Some.
