CAD Operator - A.O. Smith Corporation : Job Details

The CAD Operator will be responsible for updating and creating standard and moderately complex items, drawings, and documentation to support engineering development for fabricated, assembled, and purchased parts. The incumbent will utilize CAD and other necessary equipment to develop accurate and complete designs. Responsibilities Make standard changes to engineering drawings. Complete CAD work as directed by engineer or another designer. Complete fairly basic designs and drawings. May participate as secondary CAD person on advanced projects as experience is gained. Qualifications Associate degree in Engineering Graphics, Engineering Design, or related field 1 years of related work experience or training Additional Qualifications Basic fundamentals of 3 D modeling (Solid. Works, Pro. Engineer, or other) Understanding of how CAD models are built Understand design content A good understanding of data management or PLM is preferred.
