CAD (Computer Aided Design) AdjunctPlease note that this position will remain open until filled.
Credit part-time, adjunct faculty teaching positions will teach, lecture, and instruct laboratory coursework in various CAD and CAD-related curriculum.
This teaching position requires knowledge of basic drafting skills as they relate to traditional drafting equipment, with a strong emphasis on Computer-Aided Design/Drafting in the Mechanical Design industry. Candidates will have experience, knowledge, and understanding of the most current version of CAD design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks. Knowledge of Mechanical Drawing and Detailing (orthographic projection, multi-view drawings, isometric drafting, sectioning, auxiliary views, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, annotation, and assemblies), 3D Parametric Modeling, Rapid Prototyping, and Manufacturing Processes is essential. Credit adjuncts lead discussions on these topics. Candidates should have practical experience beyond theoretical knowledge, understanding core CAD components, manufacturing, and the overall mechanical design process. Teaching responsibilities include certificate programs, specialized diplomas, associate's degree candidates, and students continuing towards a four-year degree. Classes may be scheduled in the morning, afternoon, and/or evening and will require laboratory preparation time in addition to lecture time.
