Cable Technician Position

Our client is seeking skilled Cable Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and coaxial systems across residential, commercial, and office environments. This role is critical to ensuring reliable delivery of high-speed internet, cable TV, and voice services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic and coaxial cable systems
  • Perform aerial and underground splicing for SDUs, SMBs, relocations, and span replacements
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues in fiber networks
  • Replace damaged or outdated infrastructure
  • Conduct live splicing on active devices with minimal disruption
  • Monitor and document signal strength for internet, TV, and phone services
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including schematics and layouts
  • Educate customers on installed services and assist with personal equipment setup
  • Evaluate job sites to ensure safe and compliant installations

Required Skills:

  • Cable installation (Cat6, FTTH, coaxial, punchdown)
  • Fiber optic troubleshooting and repair
  • Residential customer service and communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of cable installation supervision
  • Strong digital literacy (tablets, spreadsheets, MS Office, project tracking tools)
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple job sites daily
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
