Swoon is hiring for our client in the Manufacturing Industry based in Peoria, IL and this will be a fully onsite position.

This is a 24-month contract opportunity with Benefits – Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium is covered for contractors).

About the Role

We're looking for a Buyer/Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities for facilities across multiple business units. This role is a great introduction to indirect procurement systems and processes, offering exposure to a variety of verticals and the opportunity to build a strong foundation for career advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Review and optimize suppliers based on price, quality, service, and availability.
• Approve purchase orders, requisitions, and bid proposals.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues with undelivered or defective goods.
• Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and monitor contract performance to drive improvements.
• Collaborate closely with facility stakeholders, procurement team members, and suppliers.
