  • Report to Complex Purchasing Manager, assisting with daily operations.
    • \n
  • Utilize evaluation system for vendor quotes with appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques, ensuring quality, price, delivery and service.
    • \n
  • Manage and monitor procurement reporting systems.
    • \n
  • Recruit and maintain suppliers who provide high quality products and services while maintaining highest code of ethics and conduct.
    • \n
  • Prepare and issue purchase contracts and change notices.
    • \n
  • Review claims and contracts for conformance to Company policy.
    • \n
  • Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price and specifications.
    • \n
  • All other relevant duties as required.
    • \n
    \n
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, with Bachelor degree preferred. Education may be considered in place of relevant work experience.
    • \n
  • 1+ year(s) buyer experience in poultry or meat category market preferred.
    • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • \n
  • Proficient technology, computer, mathematical and analytical skills.
    • \n
  • Detail oriented.
