Buyer - Lippert Components : Job Details

This position will be responsible for the purchasing of products and component parts for use in manufacturing and sales to our end customers. These items will be purchased from overseas and domestic suppliers. This position will report directly to the Materials Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Provide technical expertise of steel commodities and related steel products related to overall spend and negotiation Execute reporting surrounding purchasing execution related to budgetary requirements Oversee projects impacting purchasing processes and functions Ensure suppliers are performing at an acceptable level Build relationship with suppliers that secure the best price, service, quality and delivery options on all potential purchases Quote new items within the commodity group Oversee the process of acquiring goods and services by asking for tenders, consult with suppliers and revi...Buyer, Materials Manager, Manufacturing
