Buyer Opportunity in Rockland County, NY
We are seeking a talented and motivated Buyer to join a thriving team in Rockland County, NY. This full-time permanent role offers an exciting chance to support procurement operations and contribute to the success of a high-performing supply chain team. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the purchase of finished goods for seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement: Source and purchase products domestically and internationally. Negotiate prices, terms, contracts with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Conduct compliance audits and assist in vetting new suppliers.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock between locations, and implement strategies to optimize inventory management.
- Cost Management: Track item costs for accuracy, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assist in margin reporting.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate item records in ERP systems and support onboarding/offboarding of items while ensuring data quality.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Proficiency in ERP programs and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong Inventory Management & experience with imports/exports required
- Experience in a wholesale environment strongly preferred
- An educational background in Supply Chain or related fields is preferred.
