Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Buyer II to join our team. The Buyer II at Frazer reports to the Purchasing Manager, and is responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet company operational needs; considering price, quality, and delivery requirements. What Does a Week in the Life of the Buyer II Look Like?
Tracks and processes requisitions in Syteline to purchase products and materials once approved by management. Converts open purchase order requisitions (PR) into actual purchase orders (PO) and sends them to appropriate vendors. Verifies pricing, delivery dates, and quantities on purchase orders by comparing them to order confirmations received from vendors. Updates purchase order status with notes in the PO/PO lines when necessary. Assists departments in obtaining information on requested products and in the preparation of purchase specifications. Arranges transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery. Prepares local bid invitations for parts and services to select an approved supplier. Assists in purchasing materials, supplies, and services on favorable terms for the organization. Identifies quantity price breaks for effective cost saving opportunities while maintaining a reasonable level of inventory. Maintains and updates Vendor Contract parameters, including vendor item numbers, lead times, and pricing by item. Follows up with vendors to ensure purchase orders are accurate and material is delivered on time. Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current vendor information database. Collaborates with engineering to confirm specifications for custom parts with vendors. Collaborates with the accounting team to resolve invoice issues. Collaborates with the distribution and quality teams to address any issues related to vendor-supplied items. Ensures that all metrics on the purchasing dashboard align with the manager's goals. Resolves discrepancies related to invoices, shipping, and non-conforming purchased parts by collaborating with the accounts payable team and distribution team. Secondary Functions:
Monitors vendor lead times and informs planners of any lead time adjustments required. Identifies and recommends alternative vendors when current vendors cannot meet delivery, pricing, or service expectations. Maintains daily purchasing metrics on the purchasing dashboard. Works on various projects within the purchasing department as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager. Serves as a liaison between the Procurement Division and internal and external customers, and resolving complaints Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of previous related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Syteline ERP experience.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for content formatting and UX design principles.
- Experience using tools for A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), or heatmapping is a plus.

Oh, and $alary Of course, we didn't forget the salary... Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $62,500 - $78,000 annually depending on education, certifications, and experience. Work Schedule Buyer II will work Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Occasional evening/weekend work may be needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
