The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player who will oversee the entire order process. You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyze trends, follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, maintains, and executes Materials Requirement Plan (MRP).
- Continuously monitors and verifies materials pipeline to ensure it meets the MRP requirements. Identify and appropriately address materials supply issues.
- Ensures materials availability to support production per the Master Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement through receiving to production.
- Executes and maximizes BizLink negotiated terms with suppliers to reduce materials liability.
- Issues Purchase Orders to pricing, terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed to by Managers and Buyers.
- Ensures suppliers' adherence to established agreements.
- Identify, select, and negotiate with suppliers for CNC machined parts, sheet metal components, PCB assemblies, and electronic components.
- Optimizes order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers.
- Maintains integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters in order to minimize material liability and to balance the cost of procurement with inventory investment levels.
- Monitors and continuously improves supplier's delivery and quality performance. Address and resolve recurring or critical issues by utilizing corrective action tools and additional resources.
- Provides inputs to drive and execute BizLink's commodity and pricing strategy. Works closely with Buyers, Managers, & SCM. Provide feedback on supplier performance and BizLink's strategies. Minimizes materials freight expenses for BizLink.
- Additional projects/ roles/ responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business or a technical discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years successful purchasing experience
- Strongly desire someone that has worked in the Wire Harness/ Cabling industry
- Minimum 2 years successful negotiation experience
- APICS or ISM certification preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
$70,000 - $90,000 DOE (must have cabling/ wire harness industry experience)
