Job Summary:

We are a leading global manufacturer of electrical interconnects and power distribution solutions. Our North American Headquarters is located in Central New Jersey directly off Route 287 is where we maintain significant “on-time” inventory of electrical interconnects that are produced in our factory in Germany. In addition, we are a UL Listed assembly operation that manufactures portable power distribution, control panels, and power cable assemblies. Due to our rapid growth and expansion, we are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Buyer II to join our team. The Buyer II is responsible for the procurement of materials, components, and equipment related to industrial systems and power distribution. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods to support manufacturing and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase industrial components, electrical equipment, and power distribution materials.
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and service.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to forecast material needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage procurement workflows and inventory levels.
  • Resolve supply chain issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of industrial components, electrical systems, and power distribution equipment.
  • ERP Proficiency: Experience with enterprise resource planning, Oracle).
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Strong ability to negotiate terms and manage supplier contracts.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess supplier performance and market conditions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in orders, documentation, and compliance.
  • Financial Acumen: Understands cost structures and budgeting principles.
  • Communication: Clear and professional interaction with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in industrial or electrical sectors.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and safety regulations in manufacturing environments.
