Job Description :

Job/Position SummaryThe Buy and Logistics Manager will be responsible for all internal logistics, supplier cost reduction and contract negotiations along with the purchases associated with running the factory. This individual must have experience in the Semiconductor industry and ability to work both independently and in teams to drive improvements across the company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide continued cost reduction through supplier negotiations.
  • Investigate ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency by reviewing all purchase agreements and contracts as well as look for opportunities to qualify second sources to reduce operating expenses.
  • Negotiation of new contracts
  • Manage a small team of buyers/logistic personnel.
  • Improve current inventory management capability and streamline operating procedures.
  • Perform additional functions and other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of Buyer experience in the semiconductor industry required.
  • This position will require lawful access to ITAR/EAR controlled information and employees in these roles will need to meet those requirements. Requirements include US Citizenship, US Permanent Resident, or ability to meet contract-specific licensure requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Ability and experience in managing inventory and working with external suppliers.
  • Proven Ability in contract negotiations for tools, chemicals and gases purchases.
  • Great supplier and customer relations with internal and external customers.
  • People management or program leadership experience
  • Must be able to lead teams and projects effectively.
  • Must be able to drive change through continuous improvement.

Physical/Working Requirements

  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear if needed
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing
