Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to serve as a vital link between the business community and IT organization, helping to deliver technical solutions that align with business needs and strategic objectives. This role requires both deep domain knowledge and strong technical acumen to analyze, translate, and communicate requirements between stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be skilled at identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, translating high-level business requirements into actionable functional specifications, and supporting successful implementation through clear communication and change management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between business units and IT, ensuring seamless communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Analyze business operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for process automation and improvement.
  • Assist with business process redesign and documentation as needed for new or enhanced technology solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT developers and systems teams.
  • Manage and track changes to requirements and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Educate IT stakeholders on business goals, priorities, and industry trends.
  • Facilitate communication and negotiate agreements between stakeholders from initial requirement gathering to final implementation.
  • Stay informed on emerging technological trends and provide recommendations that enhance business capabilities and competitive edge.
  • Support build vs. buy analysis and help guide solution selection processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in a technical, business systems, or business analysis role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to understand and document both technical and business requirements.
  • Experience with business process analysis, redesign, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, or other software development methodologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Previous experience working on buy vs. build assessments and solution evaluations.
