Scope of Position
Responsible for assisting with building business relationships with current, former, and new employers and partners, overseeing and leading activities for the day-to-day BST
Serve as a liaison among employers and PA CareerLink partners
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
Act as an ambassador and concierge to the business community, developing/maintaining relationships with Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development and other business-oriented groups
Market total product box of all business services to employers, including training, talent acquisition, federal subsidies, and resources to economic development
Collaborate with the local Employer Outreach Team to share information best served to support the goals of local employers
Monitor the activities of direct reports on the BST related to daily activities and provide feedback on progress/needs for improvement
Gather information needed for the posting of events and initiatives on social media
Suggest and create innovative ways to market PA CareerLink services to employers and jobseekers
Assist with the updating/maintaining of Business Services marketing materials
Maintain and operate PA CareerLink Constant Contact account
Schedule and facilitate onsite presentations and seminars
Assist with the creation and implementation of outreach plans and special projects as assigned by the Berks WDB
Provide strategic support to the Director of Business Services on ways to help exceed contract goals
Help create regular reports on team goals and leverage reports from workforce partners to make adjustments in service delivery
Represent the local workforce system at conferences, meetings, and targeted social functions as required
Coordinate employment recruitment events and assist with the coordination of large-scale job fairs
Supervise and train Business Service Representatives on employer outreach, local policies/processes and initiatives in support of the Director of Business Services
Support engagement and collaboration with WIOA and EARN Teams to ensure jobseekers are aware of and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and responses to open positions
Serve as the direct point of contact for employers, partners, and Berks WDB in the absence of the Director of Business Services

QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, education, human services or related area, or equivalent experience
1-3 years of professional/supervisory/leadership experience or equivalent work experience
Experience in sales or customer service required
Should have notable skills and experience in providing business development
Communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills to identify trends and make recommendations
Must be able to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
Proven ability to make professional presentations to large groups of people
Must have notable experience in a team-oriented environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products; Experience using creative suite software such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
A driver's license and clean driving record is required
