Job Description :

Incumbent will be a member of the Business Solutions and Implementation (BSI) department; responsible for building and maintaining Cigna's Product/Benefit Inventory, including design, modeling and incorporation of configuration into the product model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary responsibility is to own quality outcomes for the build and maintenance of Cigna's Product/Benefit Inventory leveraging the Product Enrollment Suite Product Machine, including:

  • Develop impact analysis, propose and finalize design through managed mini-scrum process and implement new and/or modified product/benefit configuration based on business requirements/rules.

  • Local modeling build, validation and committing to changeset.

  • Development and execution of unit test.

  • Support the development and execution of quality assurance (QA) testing plans and scripts.

  • Support daily management of issues identified by Operational users and by upstream/downstream partners including triage, assessment of customer impact, prioritization and communication.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for area of focus.

  • Partner in the successful delivery of Product/Benefit Inventory in support of multiple Programs and Projects – accurately and on schedule in an Agile working environment.

  • Partner in identification, development and implementation of optimal and strategic solutions.

  • Partner with Information Technology on collaborative initiatives.

  • Analytical Problem Solving and Data Analysis:

  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills that enable an individual to understand business problems and proactively identify solutions.

  • The ability to analyze trends or issues and propose and implement solutions and/or process improvements as well as translate customer business needs into application.

  • Ability to recognize data analysis requirements and interpret, report and solution based on results.

  • Build, interpret and enhance business requirements, design specifications, application documentation and test case scenarios.

  • Identify result, process, and solution gaps; develop case specific solutions.

  • Technical:

  • Ability to design and configure new rules and UI in Product Registry based on analysis of requirements defined by the business concept owner.

  • Ability to document, present and implement configurable design.

  • Ability to design based on strategic initiatives and a holistic understanding of the system, current and future-state vision.

  • Understands requirements, feasibility and gap analysis.

  • Ability to understand the interdependency between technology and business process impacting the organization.

  • Understands our data and leverages in developing solutions.

  • Technical sophistication with relational database concepts, querying, data warehouses and decision support tools.

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into meaningful scenarios and solutions.

  • Applications:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, Visio and SharePoint with an aptitude for learning new and/or proprietary technology.

  • Proficiency in Python preferred.

  • FJA experience a plus.

  • Prior experience with a configuration tool a plus.

  • Project Management:

  • Ability to manage project plans, priorities and resources in an Agile Development environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.

  • Ability to identify scope of work and estimated effort.

  • Ability to identify issues, explain impacts and risks and propose solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, and/or Health Administration or equivalent work experience.

  • Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related business experience, ideally in health care/managed care environment and working knowledge of business processes, data, systems and applications.

  • 5+ years combined business and technical analysis experience.

  • Experience with Agile development methodology

  • Exemplary software and configuration delivery skills

  • Product and benefit expertise; preferably deep understanding of Cigna's products and benefits.

  • Familiarity with Database Structures and data modeling.

  • Understanding of Cigna's systems and data repositories preferred.

  • Ability to write business rules in a formal language.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, comprehension and application of concepts.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze information, determine benefits, and provide resolutions or recommendations for process improvement.

  • Strong, independent decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work successfully as an individual and within a team.

  • Organizational agility including the ability to foster and manage positive and influential working relationships in a matrix environment and at all levels of management.

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of urgency required, including successful experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple (competing) priorities.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 89,300 - 148,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
