Business Process / ERP Project Manager
Chicago area steel service center seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new ERP system and drive operational efficiency across our growing organization. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record in technology and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead implementation of new ERP system, managing transition from current system to newer platform.Provide post-implementation user support to employees at multiple company locations, including training, troubleshooting, and documenting best practices.Coordinate with external consultants and technology providers to manage ERP version upgrades, test new features, and configure changes.Evaluate, recommend, and implement ERP system enhancements to maximize system capabilities.Prepare regular status reports outlining project progress and critical decisions.Streamline existing procedures and workflows to optimize benefits of the ERP system.Collaborate with production and administrative managers to develop, prioritize, and manage future projects aimed at improving operational efficiency throughout the organization.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or related field.Minimum 7 years of business experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing or information technology.In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and business software applications.Proven leadership and project management skills with a collaborative problem-solving approach.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 is a plus.Benefits package includes:
