Provide An Iconic Customer Experience - Summary
Under general direction from the Business Office Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment through the facilitation of the sales, auction, and appraisal process. These processes include responsibility for cash management, processing and auditing of paperwork associated with sales, and providing exceptional customer service by answering questions and handling incoming calls.
What You Will Do - Essential Responsibilities
Assist store personnel and all store departments in their daily functions while adhering to CarMax guidelines.Provide customer service by greeting customers, managing overflow traffic, answering questions, and explaining paperwork processes.Seek win/win solutions for the customer and partners appropriately.Process paperwork related to retail/wholesale automobile sales, including printing reports, maintaining deal jackets, contacting finance companies, and auditing paperwork.Handle auction sales, dealer registration, and appraisal lane purchases, including collecting titles, following up, and ensuring proper documentation for funding.Manage multiple pay types, including handling cash, preparing deposits, and considering security and loss prevention.Process DMV paperwork for titling and registration, and obtain titles post-sale.Mentor new Business Office Associates and train other store departments on processes and procedures.Perform clerical duties such as copying, filing, reconciliation, and data entry.Answer multi-line phones, respond to callers' needs, and direct calls appropriately.Learn And Succeed As Part Of a Team
- Work in a pleasant, but noisy office environment with distractions and disruptions.
- May require walking or standing for extended periods.
- Work shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Wear CarMax clothing at all times while working in the store.
Qualifications
Ability to:
- Read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately.
- Use resources and partnerships to balance customer and business needs.
- Understand numeric filing systems.
- Use word processing, spreadsheets, and other programs with intermediate PC skills.
- Prioritize and multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment with strong organizational skills.
- Lift objects weighing 15-20 lbs.
- Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
- Complete CarMax training as required.
- Develop partnerships with sales and other departments to provide quality service.
- Maintain confidentiality of all records and reports.
- Report asset protection and HR issues to management.
Position Details
The hourly rate for this position is $17.40 - $28.00.
