The Business Development Representative (BDR) will support Ubiquity's business growth strategies by taking a proactive and energetic approach to business development initiatives. We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive partnerships with insurance brokers and agencies, focusing on promoting 401(k) solutions tailored for SMBs. The ideal candidate will excel in building relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and educating partners on the value of our offerings to help grow their business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage with insurance brokers and agencies to create 401(k) partnership opportunities.
  • Educate partners on SMB-focused 401(k) solutions, highlighting their competitive advantages.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Build lasting relationships to drive long-term success and revenue growth.
  • Design and implement a sales strategy to engage and establish referral relationships with distribution partners.
  • Lead the entire sales process from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Implement marketing plans and programs in support of business plans/objectives.
  • Proactively identify and resolve emerging issues and offer solutions by working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Finance.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Bring an energetic, positive attitude every day.

Skills: A background in insurance or other regulated industries. Proven success in sales or business development, preferably in the financial services or insurance industry.

Client Service: Keeps internal and external clients in mind at all times. Proactively addresses client concerns and provides effective resolutions.

Integrity: Takes personal responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work, and achieves results with little oversight.

Communication: Presents information clearly, concisely, and logically through verbal and written communication in a professional way. Comfortable with public speaking and providing product demonstrations using video technology.

Organizing: Utilizes CRM tools and time management techniques to maintain a high volume of outbound calls and emails while ensuring efficient follow-up and activity tracking.

Skills + Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of sales experience working in or selling to the Professional Association industry.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and other associated computer programs.
  • Salesforce experience required.
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, active listening skills, strong writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a results-oriented sales team environment.
  • Successful lead follow-up and sales development skills.
  • Proficient in combating objections to drive the conversation forward.

This is a salaried, full-time, remote position with a salary range of $65-125k annually (base + commission). Please follow application instructions carefully and note that a cover letter is required along with your resume.
