About the Role

We're looking for a driven business development professional to join a growing preclinical CRO and take ownership of building U.S. and European client relationships. This is not an operations role — it's a true hunter-style sales position for someone who thrives on prospecting, winning new business, and driving revenue growth.

You'll partner closely with our scientific teams to align client needs with our in vivo and in vitro preclinical services, expanding our reach across the life sciences and biotech community.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full business development cycle — prospecting to closing — for preclinical services in the U.S. and Europe.
  • Build and manage relationships with pharma, biotech, and life sciences clients.
  • Collaborate with scientific teams to translate client needs into tailored solutions.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences (biology, pharmacology, toxicology, biomedical sciences, etc.).
  • 5+ years in business development or sales within life sciences, ideally preclinical CROs.
  • Proven success selling in vivo and in vitro preclinical services.
  • Full sales cycle experience — outreach, pitching, proposals, contracts, and closing deals.
  • CRM experience (Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Track record of hitting/exceeding revenue targets.
  • Hunter mentality — thrives on cold-calling, networking, and opening new accounts.
  • Ability to partner with both scientists and executives — fluent in both science and business.
  • Based in New England or the Mid-Atlantic, with ability to travel.
