Business Development Manager - Exxelia : Job Details

Exxelia is a technology leader in the design, development and manufacturing of passive components looking for a catalyst to be at the heart of everything that happens regarding commercial interactions within particular Product Lines (including resistors, transformers, inductors, and related assemblies) in the North American market.

Develops product policies aligned with market expectations, in collaboration with management and the R&D teams Explore the BOM, Understand cost, Be the liaison with procurement;

In charge of business development through the capture of new opportunities, and through the growth of ongoing business activities and historical accounts, in collaboration with the sales force;

Guide and direct the Sales and Engineering functions during the prospecting, sales pipeline, and new product development processes;

Guide and collaborate with the R&D team to develop and maintain technology and product roadmaps;

Decide on which opportunities to pursue, or not;

Responsible for setting prices and answering requests for quotations and proposals in a timely and professional manner;

Develop product pricing, account-based pricing and value pricing strategies, with approval of Finance; the Resistor and/ or Magnetics Global Business Unit s (GBU) executives, and the Exxelia USA General Manager.

Drives the sales efforts and the acquisition of new customers for the business units in the North American (NA) Market;

Grow and expand business unit lead/sales pipeline in NA and ensures diligent opportunity follow-up and support;

Seek new applications and/or new customers for its products;

Develop sales support tools and train Exxelia USA Sales Managers, Manufacturing Reps, and Distributors on the product portfolio offering, value propositions, and target markets;

Drive the Manufacturing Reps Network and Regional Sales Managers towards the best opportunities, for efficiency and performance;

Role Requirements:

Electronics technology knowledge is a must (magnetics, passive component or power electronics background desired);

At least 5 years of experience with Defense; Civil Aviation, Medical and/or Mass Transportation manufacturing markets;

BS in Engineering field and MBA preferred;

Excellent communicator with strong verbal, written, and listening skills;

Strong team player, self-starter, and business acumen required;

Willingness and ability to travel over 30% of the time.
