Position Summary:

The Convivial Brands Business Development Manager is a natural relationship builder who has a passion for seeking out prospective and new business. Being a self-starter driver and hunter of new business this individual is dedicated to developing and propelling new business initiatives that showcase our products and deliver tailored solutions to regional/national prospects and customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • sales of existing product solutions in a variety of product categories and brands to a designated territory/database.
  • potential regional and national customers through referrals, leads, and strategic cold calling.
  • current within the industry, actively seeking new business through networking and staying informed about product innovations.
  • to sales strategy with the internal sales and marketing teams to enhance sales impact and conversions.

Customer Relationship and Engagement Management:

  • and nurture solid working relationships with new customers.
  • meetings with prospective clients to effectively introduce company's services, highlighting exemplary sample products that not only showcase our superior quality but also surpass the standards of what they currently receive from other providers.
  • consistent quality service and high customer satisfaction through availability and reliability.
  • prospect for opportunities to sell excess/closeout product at acceptable margins to approved customer segments.
  • up with prospective customers to ensure their expectations are met, addressing concerns, overcoming objections, and resolving complaints.

Business Development and Execution:

  • follow-up, and convert new business for the Design Design and Tableau brands.
  • compelling business cases to persuade customers, emphasizing product quality, service benefits and key product features.
  • market intelligence to ensure competitive pricing, exceptional customer service, and on-time shipping for repeat business.
  • up to date and educated on all phases of prospective customers' businesses.
  • and evaluate specific territory business, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities; Develop and execute solutions to address gaps, leading to sustained share and sales growth.
  • to local and out-of-state for meetings, presentations, trade shows and store visits.

Administrative and Reporting:

Required/Desired Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • A bachelor s degree preferred with experience in business development, field sales and/or territory management in the printing industry; HS Diploma and equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience with prospecting, cold calling, and use of a CRM tool.
  • Proven success in YoY growth of pipeline and top line revenue growth.
  • The ability to use and understand a Windows-based device and the programs required (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Specific Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Ability to analyze and present data using communication techniques that demonstrate expertise on company products and market conditions.
  • Ability to work with varied groups of people, including but not limited to sales operation, distribution center through management and executive leadership.
