Nanotech Energy's Battery Solutions group is seeking an energetic, customer-centric business development leader with deep battery-design expertise. You will spearhead market-facing strategy and execution—translating cutting-edge lithium-ion technologies into successful customer centric solutions. Working hand-in-hand with material solutions providers, R&D, engineering, operations, and finance, you will guide programs and projects all the way from concept to commercialization, driving revenue growth while cementing Nanotech Energy's reputation for innovation in energy-storage solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Cultivate executive-level relationships with OEMs, material suppliers, and BMS manufacturers, converting needsinto technical requirements for battery design development.
- Own opportunity pipeline, revenue, and gross-margin targets for assigned verticals.
- Develop customer value propositions rooted in performance metrics (energy density, cycle life, safety, thermalmanagement)
- Champion voice-of-customer feedback loops that accelerate design iterations and shorten qualification cycles.
- Track competitive landscape, pricing, and emerging chemistries; provide strategic recommendations to C‑suite.
- Lead cross-functional launch teams—engineering, quality, supply chain, regulatory—to deliver multiple productson time and within margin targets.
- Structure and negotiate MSAs, LTAs, and JV agreements that balance risk and long‑term profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Education – Bachelor's in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, orrelated; MBA or M.S. a plus
- Experience – 5+ years in battery design, applications engineering, or technical business development; proventrack record launching energy-storage products from R&D to scaled production.
- Leadership – Skilled in navigating high-pressure, ambiguous environments; adept at influencing withoutauthority across global, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Commercial Acumen – Demonstrated success owning ≥ $50 M annual pipeline, structuring complex deals, andmanaging P&L objectives.
- Technical Depth – Hands-on familiarity with Li-ion cell chemistry, pack integration, BMS, safety/regulatorystandards (UN 38.3, UL 1973/2271)
