Energetics was founded in 1979 and joined CLEAResult in 2024 as a division within CLEAResult's Energy Sustainability Services business.

Remote work

This is a remote position. Qualified candidates can live anywhere in the US, but significant travel is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all revenue-generating opportunities in the Energetics business; end-to-end oversight of prospecting, marketing, negotiating, proposing, and closing new client activities.
  • Be a credible and trusted advisor speaking the language of federal program managers and contracting officers; navigate federal contracts in the $1M-$50M range and source/secure at least $4M in new awards in the first year (goals set annually).
  • Own reporting and presentation of all business development activities weekly to leadership and other stakeholders, including Salesforce updates; advise the Executive team in developing and driving strategic initiatives forward to completion.
  • Establish and develop the pursuit planning process; collaborate cross-functionally to create differentiators, capture leads, and execute a winning strategy to secure key bids.
  • Build and leverage a network of relationships with program managers, contracting officers, teaming partners, and competitors; develop deep professional relationships across corporate, industry, government, municipal, and community contacts.
  • Establish and grow partner relationships; develop teaming agreements, joint ventures and partner strategies to win new business.
  • Provide expert analysis and research related to clients, competitors, and future opportunities; monitor legislative and regulatory activities that could affect need for services.
  • Represent the firm at conferences, industry days, executive meetings, and federal forums as a thought leader in the space.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree a plus
  • Over 10 years of progressive business development experience in the energy space, including more than 5 years of technical fluency with government energy efficiency, decarbonization, or transportation/security programs
  • Federal capture management experience; skilled in capture planning, opportunity qualification, win strategies and teaming
  • Proven client engagement and consultative selling; ability to uncover client needs, align offerings, and position value in non-transactional ways
  • Affinity for technology and its application to maintain relevance; experience with pipeline tools (GovWin, Salesforce) and willingness to leverage AI tools to deliver results
  • An entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in evolving processes and building business development systems as we grow
  • Grit, persistence, and resilience; long federal sales cycles require adaptivity and forward-looking forecasting
  • Superior communication skills; ability to craft compelling stories and persuade
  • Relentless focus on daily operational efficiency; strong organizational skills and time management; ability to manage travel schedules
Compensation

Compensation Range: $122,200.00 - $183,300.00

Currency: USD

Type: Salary

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology).
