Overall Purpose

The Business Development and Channel Partnerships Manager manages relationships with channel partners to drive acceptance of Paze through eCommerce platforms. This role focuses on building long-term partnerships, supporting Paze across strategic platforms, increasing consumer awareness, adoption, and usage. It also involves identifying new channel partners to expand our network.

Essential Functions

  • Manage partnerships with financial services companies to scale Paze merchant adoption.
  • Present the value of Paze to external partnership teams, gaining buy-in and commitment.
  • Negotiate and sign agreements with partners.
  • Work with internal teams to manage the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial selling to integration, marketing, operational reviews, and new product features.
  • Maintain post-integration relationships, track growth, identify new opportunities, and lead quarterly reviews.
  • Provide clear partner updates within the Channel Partnerships team.
  • Develop and communicate value propositions based on customer strategies to ensure continued product usage and growth opportunities.
  • Keep Salesforce updated with opportunities, contacts, projects, and legal efforts.
  • Support risk management and data security protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years' experience in financial services and partnership management.
  • Experience structuring partnerships with merchant acquirers, PSPs, PayFacs, and payment channel partners.
  • Proven sales and partner management experience in payments technology solutions.
  • Ability to engage with senior executives at top-tier banks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player capable of collaborating in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and minimal oversight.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating opportunities and performance tracking.
  • Positive, goal-oriented team player.
  • Background check and drug screening required.

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily sedentary, involving extensive computer use, sitting, occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity and dexterity are required for document and equipment handling. Ability to communicate and travel as needed. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to perform essential functions.

Salary ranges:

  • Phoenix, AZ/Chicago, IL: $140,000 - $160,000
  • New York, NY/San Francisco, CA: $160,000 - $180,000

Additional compensation includes discretionary incentives and benefits. Salary offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and location.
