Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our North American market expansion in the gaming sector. This role focuses on identifying, building, and managing high-value partnerships, expanding collaboration resources, and strengthening our brand presence through strategic alliances with platforms, brands, influencers, and industry stakeholders. You will be the bridge between our global teams and the North American market, ensuring our initiatives resonate with local audiences while driving measurable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partnership Development & Resource Expansion
- Identify and establish strategic relationships with North American brands, IP owners, e-sports events, and content platforms (e.g., Twitch, IGN, GameSpot) to unlock new collaboration opportunities.
- Negotiate and manage KOL and influencer partnerships (YouTubers, Twitch streamers, TikTok creators) to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Lead cross-industry collaboration projects and PR campaigns to increase market influence and audience reach.
2. Platform & Channel Relations
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with major North American platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, Discord, Xbox, PlayStation, Epic Games, etc.).
- Secure platform resources such as promotional exposure, advertising placement strategies, and co-marketing opportunities.
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, optimizing strategies based on data-driven insights.
3. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research on North American gamer behavior, cultural trends, and content consumption patterns.
- Monitor competitor marketing strategies and user feedback to identify market gaps and growth opportunities.
- Deliver regular market reports to guide brand positioning and business strategy updates.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, publishing, PR, legal) to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Coordinate external resources, manage project timelines, and align stakeholders to deliver high-impact marketing and partnership campaigns.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business, Media, International Business, or related fields.
- 5+ years in business development, partnership management, or brand marketing targeting overseas markets (gaming industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of North American social/content platforms (Twitter/X, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Discord, etc.) and distribution channels.
- Proven track record in KOL collaborations, brand partnerships, and PR campaign execution.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and fluent English (written & spoken).
- Passion for gaming with a deep understanding of the North American gamer ecosystem.
- Highly self-driven with strong negotiation, project management, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred
- Experience studying, working, or living in the U.S. or Canada.
- Hands-on experience with major North American game launches, brand events, or PR campaigns.
- Familiarity with content creation ecosystems, especially Twitch LIVE and Reddit community culture.
- Existing cross-industry partnership networks (e-sports, anime, collectibles, F&B brands, lifestyle products, etc.).
