Business Specialist 10 months project Johnston RI We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Design Thinking Analyst to join our innovation team. In this role, you will combine design thinking principles with data-driven insight and foundational project management skills to help reimagine how our client serves its customers, colleagues, and communities. You'll work cross-functionally on a variety of initiatives, ranging from customer experience enhancements to internal process improvements-supporting both strategic work and operational execution. Key Responsibilities: Design Thinking & Insight Development • Assist with planning and facilitating design thinking workshops to identify customer needs and co-create solutions • Support qualitative and quantitative research efforts, including interviews, surveys, and focus groups • Analyze customer and operational data to uncover trends, pain points, and opportunities • Translate insights into design artifacts such as personas, empathy maps, service blueprints, and journey maps that visualize end-to-end, holistic experiences • Contribute to solution ideation, prototyping, and feedback loops Project & Stakeholder Support • Assist with managing ad-hoc small-scale projects • Maintain and update project documentation, including meeting notes, roadmaps, and status reports • Partner with business leads and external vendors to support delivery of customer-centered solutions • Create clear, compelling executive-level presentations that communicate customer insights, project updates, and solution recommendations • Assist with preparation of briefing materials, workshop summaries, and cross-functional readouts • Support executive level slide development that communicates outcomes of the workshops along with other key CX level strategies • Help ensure alignment across teams by organizing information in a digestible, visually effective format Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in business, Data Analytics, or a related field • UX Design and/or Graphic Design experience • Familiarity with Design Thinking and Jobs to Be Done methodologies and customer-centered problem solving • Basic proficiency in data analysis and comfort using tools like Excel or Tableau • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in creating presentations • Exposure to project coordination or administrative ownership of projects (e.g., timelines, agendas, follow-ups) • Experience with PowerPoint, and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams) • Experience with digital design tools like Figma, InDesign • Experience with collaborative, digital whiteboarding tools like Lucid Spark, Mural, Miro, FigJam, etc. • Experience creating prompts in AI tools like Copilot
