Cortica is looking for a Business Analyst to join its growing team! The Business Analyst is a key contributor to enhancing organizational decision-making and operational efficiency through the development and maintenance of advanced reports and dashboards. This role is on Cortica's finance team and involves deep collaboration with operations and various departments to align data structures and visual analytics with strategic goals, ensuring accurate and actionable insights. By working closely with stakeholders to understand and meet their information needs, the Business Analyst ensures the relevance and effectiveness of data-driven tools. Their expertise in analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and recommending improvements is crucial for informing leadership decisions and fostering continuous organizational innovation and improvement. This position requires a unique blend of analytical skills, technical proficiency, and collaborative acumen to drive meaningful business outcomes. This role reports directly to the Manager of BI Analytics. - Support financial operations by building reports and dashboards, creating data structure, and developing and monitoring metrics.
- Work closely with the Operations team to track operational KPIs.
- Apply knowledge of systems and needs of various departments within the company to inform the data structure and proof of concept to build and curate Operational dashboards and reports respective to financials.
- Independently develop and maintain dashboards and reports, including troubleshooting potential errors and break fixes.
- Analyze, verify, and validate data from disparate systems to incorporate into reports and dashboards.
- Independently develop and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Ensure reports and dashboards are effective by testing with stakeholders.
- Identify the needs of the Finance team and stakeholders to build relevant and consumable dashboards and reports.
- Ensure relevant stakeholders are effectively using dashboards and reports to inform them of their roles and responsibilities.
- Provide hands-on training to stakeholders, as needed, for dashboard or report analysis and utilization.
- Work collaboratively across the organization to set internal benchmarks, develop critical metrics for new initiatives, and recommend continuous improvement strategies using data-driven insights.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and report findings and make recommendations to company leadership.
- Work closely with the IT team to understand existing internal tools and data warehouses and to identify data quality and reliability improvements to establish best practices.
- Provide other ad-hoc analyses and data as needed.
- Travel to local Cortica centers may be required from time to time.

- You hold a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- You bring 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis and/or operational data analytics.
- You possess intermediate SQL skills.
- You bring 2+ years of experience working with and managing various BI reporting tools, such as Power BI.

The base pay range for this opening is $79,911.11 to $99,888.89 annually. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
