Role: Business Analyst Reports to: Director, Revenue Operations FLSA: Exempt Location: Morrisville, NC or Remote Why is this role important at Genesee Scientific? The Business Analyst plays a key role in optimizing our procurement processes to support customer needs and drive revenue through B2B e-procurement. You'll manage and troubleshoot e-procurement connections, oversee onboarding and integration for customer institutions, and coordinate across systems like Salesforce and BigCommerce. By identifying process improvements and maintaining accurate pricing files, you'll help enhance operational efficiency and support our mission to serve the life sciences community. What will you do:
- Onboard, maintain, and troubleshoot e-procurement connections by working directly with admins and purchasing agents at customer institutions
- Coordinate the implementation and ongoing maintenance of e-procurement connections with third-party vendors, ensuring timely and effective integration
- Provide exceptional customer support during the e-procurement integration process, addressing concerns and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
- Triage customer connection issues by directing them to the appropriate stakeholders within Genesee for prompt resolution
- Proactively recommend enhancements and upgrades to keep e-procurement integration processes aligned with industry best practices and company needs
- Own, document, and maintain up-to-date status of all procurement connections, ensuring accurate and consistent data
- Work with sales management to develop company e-procurement strategy defining which customer integrations to prioritize, internal processes are needed to improve our customer experience and our internal efficiency, communicating benefits to potential partners we are hoping to onboard
- Conduct analysis and reporting on e-procurement customer performance
- Assist in preparation and delivery of quarterly business reviews with company's largest customers
- Upload and maintain customer pricing files in the ERP system, ensuring timely delivery of hosted catalog pricing to select customers.
- Conduct pricing analysis to ensure that the company is priced appropriately across customers and products
- Assist in gathering and documenting requirements for system enhancements in collaboration with developers to support continuous improvement of company systems, including Salesforce and BigCommerce
Requirements What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university
- 3+ years of related experience in business analysis or a similar role
- Strong ability to define project scopes, create timelines, allocate resources, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the integration process
- Experience working closely with IT teams to ensure successful project implementation
- Preferred: Background in customer service roles, ensuring customer satisfaction and issue resolution
- Experience with E-Procurement Management Software (Jagger, Coupa, SAP, etc.)
- Experience with API or EDI connectivity methods
- Preferred: Knowledge of ERP systems, specifically Sage 100
- Preferred: Knowledge of CRM systems, specifically Salesforce
- Desire to work as part of a team, with the ability to work independently and solve problems quickly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and Teams
- Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, sales, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Results orientated, strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
