Job Purpose The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions align with strategic objectives and operational needs. They are responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements to support the successful delivery of technology solutions. This position operates with moderate independence and is expected to contribute to Agile delivery practices, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. This position will specialize in the merchant processing and card services domain. Experience working with platforms or processes related to card issuing or payment processing would be helpful but is not required. Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in Agile teams and ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and research to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Validate requirements with stakeholders and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serveas a liaison between business units and IT, facilitating mutual understanding and alignment of goals.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
- Contribute to change management efforts by supporting training, user adoption, and post-implementation reviews.
- Partner with solution architects, developers, and QA analysts to design and validate solutions that meet business objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including business process models, user guides, and system specifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with requirements management, process modeling, and stakeholder facilitation.
