Job Description: Supports business and technology teams in maintaining and enhancing Workday Financial Management and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. Assists with system updates, gathers basic requirements, and helps analyze business needs under guidance from more experienced team members. Participates in testing activities and provides user support for system-related issues. Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU University Business Services will not be a sponsor for this position. This position may qualify for hybrid work depending on business need and department approval Pay is $55,000 - $60,000 per year; DOE
Essential Duties: - Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for Workday Financial and HCM modules.
- Support senior analysts in preparing functional specifications and system documentation. Participate in Workday testing activities, including writing test cases, executing test scripts, and logging results.
- Help monitor and troubleshoot user issues; systems; or integration issues; escalating more complex problems to appropriate team members
- Collaborate with internal teams to support the delivery of Workday enhancements and configurations.
- Contribute to research and analysis efforts to evaluate system capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage support tickets using ServiceNow and/or JIRA, ensuring timely responses, clear documentation, and appropriate resolution, or escalation.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with end users and stakeholders.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the department and institution.
Desired Qualifications: - Experience in Workday Financial Management and/or Human Capital Management (HCM).
- Experience in customer service ticketing systems.
- Experience documenting and mapping business processes.
- Knowledge of higher education administrative systems and related business principles.
- Knowledge of automated and manual management information systems.
- Knowledge of forms design and procedures development.
- Ability to analyze complicated problems.
- Ability to clearly explain concrete processes and abstract concepts both orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform effectively as a member of a team.
Working Environment: - Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
