JOB REQUIREMENTS: The School Bus Terminal Manager is responsible foroverseeing the daily operations of the terminal under the direction ofthe corporate office. This role ensures safe, efficient, and reliabletransportation services for contracted school districts. The TerminalManager leads staff, manages fleet operations, and maintains complianceWith Company Policies, State Laws, And School District Requirements.Kobussen Buses is a third-generation, family-owned transportationcompany with over 1,100 employees throughout the state of Wisconsin. KeyResponsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-dayoperations of the bus terminal, ensuring smooth dispatch, routing, andscheduling of buses. Manage driver assignments, ensuring proper coveragefor all routes and trips. Monitor on-time performance, address delays,and implement solutions for service improvements. Develop and maintainefficient bus routes to optimize fuel use, minimize costs, and enhanceservice reliability. Staff Supervision & Development: Recruit, hire,train, and manage terminal staff. Conduct performance evaluations,provide coaching, and address disciplinary matters as needed. Ensure allstaff comply with safety protocols, driving standards, and companypolicies. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with federal, state,and local regulations, including Department of Transportation (DOT)guidelines. Oversee driver certification, licensing, and training toEnsure All Qualifications Are Current. Oversee Safety Programs,including accident investigations, safety meetings, and continuouseducation. Fleet & Facility Management: Oversee vehicle maintenanceschedules to ensure buses are in optimal working condition. Ensurecleanliness and organization of the terminal facility and fleet.Customer & Community Relations: Serve as the primary contact for schooldistrict administrators, parents, and other stakeholders. Addressconcerns, resolve service-related issues, and foster positiverelationships with clients. Participate in school district meetings toreview transportation performance and address concerns. AdministrativeDuties: Maintain accurate records and documentation for personnel,maintenance/repairs, vehicles, etc. Timely submission of invoices foraccounting and time sheets for payroll. Assist with the development ofterminal budget, manage expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.Prepare reports for internal leadership and school district partners. Toperform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrateregular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essentialduty satisfactorily. Minimumof 3-5 years of supervisory experience in transportation or fleetmanagement. Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL) with passenger (P) andschool bus (S) endorsements preferred or willingness to obtain within 90days of employment. Qualifications: Proven experience in transportation,logistics, or school bus operations. Strong leadership and teammanagement skills. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, andfleet management. Excellent communication and conflict resolutionAbilities. Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills. Proficiencyin transportation software and Microsoft Office applications. WorkEnvironment: Fast-paced environment with a mix of office and outdoorwork.
