Building-based Substitute for the 2024-2025 school year to provide instruction, and support, and to promote student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher or instructional assistant.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Reports to the building principal or school secretary upon arrival at the school building for daily assignments.* Review with the principal all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.* Consult with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.* Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which they are assigned.* Develops and maintains a positive learning environment.* Works cooperatively with staff.* Respects student privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of privileged information.* Teaches the lesson outlined and as prepared by the absent teacher.* Consults as appropriate, with the building principal before initiating any teaching or other procedures.* Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.* Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.* Performs any other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the principal or designee may from time to time assign and delegate.SALARY: Per the GEA Master Agreement Unit C Salary Schedule
