Building Automation Specialist / Coordinator (85-100K)
We have an excellent direct hire opportunity available for a Building Automation Specialist / Coordinator to join the Facilities Team in Syracuse, NY area.
The work schedule is: M-F 7:00AM – 3:30PM.

Key duties will include:
- Collaborate with the Electrical and Utilities Managers on projects, audits, and system improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems (air handlers, automated doors etc).
- Coordinate projects and installations with outside vendors and contractors.
- Conduct system site visits, analyze performance, and create facility improvement plans.
- Review blueprints, operations manuals, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with code and safety standards.
- Monitor building management systems, power distribution, and electrical controls to maintain long-term efficiency.
- Lead and support staff training and retraining on electrical and electronic systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree + 2 years relevant experience, OR Associate's degree + 4 years relevant experience.
- Project coordination experience with contractors and vendors.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to develop creative work-around solutions.
- Experience with digital automated building management systems, electrical power distribution, and/or automation and electronic control systems (fire alarm, security/nurse call, lighting controls, automatic doors) is preferred.
