Job Description: Automation Project Engineer

Join our team as an Automation Project Engineer, where you will be a vital part of the Critical Facilities team, ensuring the successful execution of complex projects. Your role will involve designing and engineering building automation and energy management systems in accordance with local energy codes and sustainability initiatives, project plans, specifications, and other contractual documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system performance at both system and campus levels, ensuring documentation accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide performance analysis of building control and mechanical systems.
  • Create project-specific programming solutions to optimize building efficiency and performance.
  • Develop custom front-end interfaces for end-users.
  • Interface directly with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members.
  • Program complex DDC (Direct Digital Controls) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to meet project specifications.
  • Track project financials through monthly audits and reviews.
  • Contribute to company standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Qualifications:

    • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
    • Knowledge of DDC theory and applications.
    • Experience with PLC programming.
    • Familiarity with electronics and basic electrical circuits.
    • Understanding of basic programming concepts.
    • Experience working with mechanical systems.
    • Experience with controls in a data center environment is a plus.
