Salary: $28,082.00 - $41,767.00 AnnuallyLocation : Zanesville Campus, OHJob Type: Full-Time StaffDivision: Facilities ManagementOpening Date: 05/01/2025 Position Description Responsible for the overall maintenance of the buildings, grounds and security of the Campus. This position is front line for the cleanliness of the College campus.Personal Touch: Respect, Responsiveness, and Responsibility in all professional relationships, specifically, employee to student, employee to employee, and employee to community. College employees acknowledge their obligation to model and teach the three R's to influence student development of behaviors that will lead to academic, professional, and personal success.Assessment: Contributions to assessment for continuous quality improvement of the academic support area(s) within assigned scope of responsibilities. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide daily and at intervals deep cleaning of the College buildings to include emptying trash, cleaning the floors and restrooms. Also monitor cleaning supplies inventory and ordering as needed. General maintenance of the College buildings to include preventative maintenance, lighting of the buildings and parking lots, minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC troubleshooting/repair, including maintaining, monitoring and adjust system as needed, and assist contractors. Maintain the grounds of the College including mowing, trimming, and litter. Maintain all planting beds by planting, weeding, pesticide application, and mulching. In the winter, snow removal consisting of plowing, salting and clearing of sidewalks. Responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of the students, employees, and visitor, which is also a duty to always be attentive to. Other duties as assigned and arise with examples following:
  • Planning daily activities
  • Small engine work and maintenance of mowers and power equipment
  • Assist with seasonal NRC boat prep and transportation
  • Storeroom and delivery coverage
  • Responsible for setting up/maintaining community rooms
  • Maintaining company vehicles and equipment
  • Occasional transportation of items/equipment to and/or from campuses
QualificationsPosition Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to provide preventative maintenance and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, building, and grounds
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to operate power tools and facility management equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to stand a maximum of 10 hours per day on concrete/tile floors
  • Must be able to withstand seasonal temperatures
  • Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License
  • Must possess basic computer and technology skills including HVAC controls
